Watchlyst Terms of Use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms apply when you use Watchlyst, an iPhone app made by Mahmut Acar (“we”, “us”). By using Watchlyst you agree to them. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; if the two differ, these terms apply between you and us.
The service
Watchlyst puts TV episodes, movie releases and sports fixtures on your own calendar, reminds you before they start, and shows where to watch them. It’s a planning tool: it doesn’t stream or broadcast anything.
Schedules, results, posters, and streaming and TV information come from third parties (TMDB, JustWatch and TheSportsDB). TV episode times are worked out by us from TMDB’s air dates and the networks’ and services’ published schedules. This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB. Dates and times change, and these sources can be late, incomplete or wrong. We work to keep Watchlyst accurate, but we can’t promise it is, or that every reminder arrives on time. Please check with the broadcaster or service before relying on a time.
Your account
You sign in with Apple. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, and you must be old enough to use the App Store in your country. You can delete your account at any time in the app (You › Delete Account).
Watchlyst Premium
Some features are part of Watchlyst Premium, a subscription sold through the App Store: currently widgets, Live Now, adding a whole season in one tap, more than one watch plan at a time, and Where to Watch. Which features are included may change over time.
- Plans. Monthly and yearly, at the prices shown in the app before you buy. Prices may vary by country and include any taxes Apple charges.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price and length, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged within the 24 hours before the renewal.
- Free trial. If a plan offers a free trial, you’re charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone’s Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions, or from You › Watchlyst Premium in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- When Premium ends, whole seasons you added stay on your calendar but stop adding newly announced episodes and fixtures until you subscribe again.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse Watchlyst: don’t try to access other people’s data, disrupt or overload the service, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use automated means to copy its content.
Content and trademarks
The Watchlyst app and name belong to us. Posters, logos, team and competition names and other catalog content belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. Watchlyst isn’t endorsed by or affiliated with any league, team, studio, network or streaming service.
Changes and ending the service
We may change, add or remove features. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever stop running Watchlyst, we’ll tell you in the app ahead of time where we can.
Disclaimers and liability
Watchlyst is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missing a match or an episode, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for Watchlyst Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you in the app when the change is significant. Continuing to use Watchlyst after that means you accept the new terms.
